What it is:
Radio Walden is an independent online student community radio organized by the students of Goethe University.
Always on air means you can tune in anytime and catch what’s on the program. Since we’re still at an early stage, the program is flexible — but you can check this page for an overall idea. The shows are not stored in a cloud or streaming service.
The ultimate goal is to create an active, inclusive, and informal environment that inspires us to stay on Campus Westend.
Since Campus Westend has very limited friendly public space, an online radio extends this space to people beyond the campus.
Future plans include workshops, parties, listening sessions, study sessions, and more.
But for that, we still need some time — and more people.
The radio is open to and encourages student participation.
Students can apply to use our broadcasting room in IG Farben (soon to be announced) and host their own shows — and perhaps use this opportunity to get extra credits for their lectures or seminars.
If you’re interested in participating, please send an email to radiowalden at proton dot me.
Bestest, Radio Walden
